America and Liberia share a unique history in the birth and development of the Republic of Liberia. And now, through Hearts for Jesus, we can be involved in the development of future Christian Liberian leaders. As we raise funds for tuition assistance this year, hundreds of impoverished kids will have the opportunity to attend one of the 21 Lutheran schools in their community. As a tangible visual aid in connecting your students to the students in Liberia you might consider using the Paper Chain Project. You set your own goal and increment for each chain. Every time you reach the increment cut a link of the chain away. We suggest attaching your chain(s) to the kids posters as a way to visualize the bigger goal.
