Hope and Care Foundation was born out of the need to run non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with the honesty, integrity and accountability which was the original idea for the creation of such establishments. Members of Hope and Care Foundation come from different backgrounds – Education, Mass Communication, Industry, Commerce, Religion, Politics, Engineering, Medicine and Nursing. A common interest – a burning desire to help the underprivileged and re-orientation of the vulnerable groups on best practices of public accountability – took many of our members to work in established, reputable NGOs in many parts of the world. These people have come together under the auspices of Hope and Care Foundation.

As a partner in the Malaria Control programmes in the Niger Delta, Hope and Care Foundation, a non-governmental, non-profit organization, has participated in various malaria control interventions. It is therefore natural that we take part in the weeks-long activities lined up to celebrate 2010 World Malaria Day.
The activities took place from 10am to 7pm in the community hall. The response by Community leaders, the youth, church leaders, women and children was encouraging. Community leaders displayed healthy curiosity and willingness to implement learned preventive and curative measures.
Ohafia Outreach on 25th December 2009
Hope and Care Foundation, a Non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) based in the Niger Delta, planned and carried out a medical outreach in Asaga community in Ohafia Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia state. This even, planned in collaboration with St Peter’s Anglican Church, Asaga was to coincide with the church’s annual harvest celebration on 25th December, 2009 – Christmas Day. Organizers thought it would be a good opportunity to introduce the NGO to a wider audience in Ohafia since the church had invited all the other Parishes in the Missionary Diocese of Arochukwu-Ohafia.
